Meet Our Team: Say Hello to Two New JP Fitness Trainers
We recently chatted with Stephanie and Kelsey, two new faces that you’ll be seeing regularly here at JP Fitness as we head into 2022! Read on to learn a little more about their experience and where you can expect to see these two as they join our team.
Stephanie Fischer, Group Program Specialist
What classes will you be leading at JP Fitness?
I will be leading two new yoga-based classes: Flow45 and Recovery Yoga
What is the goal of these classes?
Flow45 will be an energizing and dynamic barefoot class. It’s JP’s take on a vinyasa-style yoga class. Participants can stretch + strengthen their bodies and calm their minds through a 45-minute series of flowing poses, ending with relaxation.
Recovery Yoga is one of my absolute favorite styles of yoga. It is a low, slow practice where flowing sequences are alternated with holding restorative poses for 2-5 minutes at a time. It’s a great way to destress the mind and body.
Both classes are excellent compliments to high intensity workouts and strength training! They will help you feel good, stay centered and rock your next workout.
What makes you so passionate about fitness?
I’ve always loved how fitness is a catalyst for positive life changes. And group classes are my favorite form of fitness because of the motivation + sense of community they provide.
Who would you encourage to sign up for your classes?
Everybody should experience the benefits of yoga! My classes are for all levels. I provide options to adjust the difficulty level so you can listen to your body and take what you need. Personally, I recently had twins so I’m three months postpartum and looking forward to leading classes again after a break! I always encourage people to start where they are, there’s no need to “get in shape” before you join a class. I’m all about a non-intimidating class environment.
Kelsey Long, Personal Trainer
What classes will you be leading at JP Fitness?
I am excited to be leading some the current Zone45 and Strong45 group classes! You can join me mid-morning on Mondays and Wednesdays and on Sunday mornings.
What is the goal of these classes?
Classes focus on cardiovascular conditioning and total body strength. Members push themselves physically and mentally while working in an encouraging team environment and leave feeling successful!
What makes you so passionate about fitness?
I get to meet, interact with, and connect with many different members! It is so rewarding being a part of someone's journey to a living a healthier lifestyle. I get to make positive changes in the lives of members and see their transformations.
Who would you encourage to sign up for your classes?
The classes we teach at JP Fitness are perfect for any fitness level. Everyone can benefit from group fitness classes - they are great for providing accountability and bringing people together in a fun and challenging environment!
We look forward to experiencing the energy Stephanie and Kelsey bring to our gym, and we hope you do, too!
